Short stories from All Saint's Days Night Count & Countess The Count and Countess lived in the Penthouse Manor, just in the middle of everything, but still above all the ordinary. Their favorite activity for spending their long and privileges days, were sitting in their Winter Garden drinking the Count's Finest Sherry, all the while they could watch the common people walking in the wet snow down below. On the garden table they had a little bell, which they used, when they needed something. Usually it was more sherry. Their servant and housekeeper, Julio, had been with them for many years and took care of their every need. Countess had took this a bit more far and made Julio her personal lover. There was nothing wrong with the love life between Count and Countess and she was enjoying it a lot. But maybe it had been the exotic Mexican accent or the dark red hair with the skin color of fine cafe latte, that had been too tempting for Countess. This exceptionally cold and free...

Tuntsa Wilderness area

Tuntsa - Naruska When I was invited to the big adventure like this, I didn't hesitate. I said yes, on the middle of the invitation. 6 days In the middle of the real wilderness Hiking and hunting The plan was to hike about 20 km per day. Sleep at the wilderness and rental huts. At the day time travel independently  and meet my adventure companion in the evening at the next hut. Perfect! The first day brought me back to the ground quite nicely. I read the map wrongly and got lost on the first kilometres. After finding to the correct meeting point, where my mentor had waited for me for one and half hours, he suggested, that rest of the day I could walk on the market hiking trail. I was so ashamed, but I felt I totally deserved it. So rest of the 13 km I walked to the trail, which turned out to be quite good choice. Walking 20 km, with a heavy back bag and heavy shotgun, wasn't easy. I realized that I had been on this kind of hike last time few years ago on my Camino. When I had st...

"You have the power You wear the crown From the pinnacle To the pit" - Ghost- It was agreed to be just a small evening walk. Nothing major. Just some fresh air with autumn colors. Nice possibility to go check those two small nameless canyons next to Hirviäkuru canyon, where we have been so many times. It turn out to be an unexpected adventure. For three hours we explored those canyons, those, which let you expect nothing on the map. Good reminder for us, how the smallest things, can turn out to be a mind blowing experiences. The autumn colors, or ruska as it is called in Finland, was on it's best. The whole forest in flaming red and orange. Autumn is definitely one of my favorite times of the year. Although I think I say this at beginning of every season. Walking deeper in to the forest, bigger and bigger rock formations greeted us. Old kelo trees lying where they had ones felled. At the side of the first small canyon we found a small cave with a fire place. Something h...
